I dont see why you need a bag to droop, and I dont think the extra length of the strap is unattractive at all, I actually like it. I dont think I like the light colored thread used with the brown leather though. I think thats ugly. I just got a mini song in jade. Seasonal caviar like the one u have is softer than the REV classic classic/ beige ones. The latter has bigger grains too as compared. The classic structure feels sturdier too. I have both :)
